Continental Drobeta Turnu Severin is a 3-star hotel, centrally located, in the middle of the largest and most beautiful park in the city of Drobeta Turnu Severin. The hotel is located in the vicinity of the Cultural Palace “Theodor Costescu” and the kinetic fountain. It is also positioned less than 500 m from the County Council and the City Hall.

The old name of the Continental Drobeta Turnu Severin hotel was “Hotel Parc”. The history of the Parc hotel flows in parallel with the achievement of an exceptional industrial objective of Romania. This is the Iron Gates I Hydropower Plant, the largest hydropower plant on the Danube, located about 15 km upstream.
Such a colossus needed adequate manpower. This is how workers from all over the country came to the area. Thus, in the summer of 1967, the construction of a real architectural jewel of those times began. The construction of the original hotel was completed around 1969.
The hotel has been raised on several levels and has an imposing architecture, full of personality. It is located in the middle of largest city park, on one of the terraces of Drobeta Turnu Severin.
Parc Hotel will keep this name until 1997. In that year it was taken over by the Continental Hotels chain and became Continental Drobeta Turnu Severin.
